I believe this is best place in Clearwater and Tampa if you want your kid to learn not only karate but added benefits of self confidence and discipline. My son recently started this school but I really like the master, the way he is so humble and teach young kids. The master is no doubt the best known person to teach karate. I'm so thankful to front desk and all staff for being kind and helpful. Thank you so much.

Best Dojo in Tampa Bay. Master Scrima is one of those masters almost impossible to find anymore. He is the best I have seen in 20 years. He will teach you different techniques, life applications and also life suggestions. He is a true martial artist. I highly recommend master Scrima for your kids and yourself. Excellent place.

Shifu Nicolas Scrima is Grand Master Young Chen fu's Lineage Sixth Generation Shifu.
Shifu Scrima's life has been dedicated to Kung fu with great passion. He teaches external and internal styles with great attention to detail. The benefits are many, besides the ability to self defend but equally important the great benefits to my health!

I don't know what those other two parents are talking about. But if you just want to go some place that will blow smoke about how great your child is with the child not putting in any work then this studio is not for you. But if your child is serious about their art I highly recommend master Scrima. I have been to other places that just promote your child for showing up and not on their technical knowledge and skill. Not the place for us so I was so thrilled and impressed when we started here. The master is extremely knowledgeable and motivates his student to strive for their best. My daughter is determined now to be the best she can be. As for the comment from someone about not feeling like a team that statement is so not true. We have been to several tournaments and all of the students in attendance when not competing were walking around cheering on their fellow students. My daughter has also made friends during the tournments from all over the world. I highly recommend trying this studio.

An unwelcoming environment for parents, no interaction with Master Scrima (unless you're buying a uniform), and very poor communication from administrative staff. A small space, with a wall that makes it difficult to view the class. The two teenage instructors were good, so one star for each of them.

Our kids have been taking classes for several months. The kids classes are well structured and the teachers are great. There are two teachers for each class so all the kids receive individual instruction. They have learned so much in such a short time. I would recommend this school to any parent.

With over 30 years of martial arts experience I can tell you that this school is the real thing. If you want a cookie cutter, black belt factory...this school is not for you. If you want Integrity, respect, and authentic Chinese martial arts, you will not find a better school. It was a privilege to study there.
