I can’t speak to the authenticity of this place, but I liked the food! The service was interesting. This seems more like an “order for the table” type of place. The portions and prices are group sized. It was a little difficult ordering if yall don’t want the same thing. I recommend ordering your apps first and allowing time for them to come first before ordering your mains. Otherwise everything comes out in whatever order. The staff was super friendly. They have Pepsi here.
The fries were a “must try” and they were good. Just not the type of fries I usually prefer. I’d probably get rice next time. I’m excited to try more from here!

We have had Chi Maek for a few times now. The chicken wings are our favorite. They were crunchy and seasoned very well. It’s great to have them in Lancaster as there aren’t many good authentic restaurants in town.

Very exciting to have Korean Fried Chicken in Lancaster! The spicy and soy garlic were both awesome! Super juicy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. 10/10 would recommend if you have never tried it! Can't wait to go back.

Is it authentic? No, but don't let stop you from having some great chicken! We got a small combo half half. Husband preferred the spicy and I liked the garlic soy better. Chicken was juicy and the skin was crunchy good! We ate in and the place is comfortable. We will definitely be back.

We drove 30 minutes to get here from the northern end of the county after spotting them while out running errands over the weekend, and I am glad we did.

Service was great, with friendly staff and quick delivery of food. Interior is bright and clean, and not too loud, even when fairly busy.

We tried a bit of everything and enjoyed it all. Everything we tried that was spicy (hot Korean fried chicken, bibimbap, and teokbokki) was definitely spicy with a long, lingering heat. Loved the texture and chew of the rice cakes in the tteokbokki.

Soy ginger fried chicken was a favorite, and the apps we tried, takoyaki and fried shrimp shumai, were also very good. The shumai comes with dressing on it that I might skip next time, but overall very nice flavor and texture. Also enjoyed the coleslaw that came with the chicken.

Great value, we got all that food for $80, feeding a family of 4 and bringing home a lot of lefrovers for lunch/dinner the next day.

Strongly recommend checking them out, and expect that this may become our post-Costco run dinner pick-up spot.

I had a good first visit. The Fried Chicken was delicious. Had the combo (drums, wings, thighs) with the biggest drumsticks I've ever seen! I liked the soy garlic version - didn't care for their spicy version, it was too Tabasco one note for me. Loved the pickled radish - very simple, but refreshing. The counter person (who also brought the food to the table) was friendly & informative. The dining room was clean & comfortable. And the music was current and nice. It was a bit expensive for fried chicken, but it was good & a very big serving. (There was a help wanted sign in the front window for 'a server' for $16/hour. Running a business is expensive - so I understand the pricing.)

A really great and new Korean restaurant that specializes in their fried chicken. I love the breading on the fried chicken, which makes it some of the crispiest chicken you’ll find. The portion sizes are massive and really affordable for the amount you receive. It’s so flavorful and super juicy. The shrimp shumai are fun bite size pieces that come with a honey Dijon sauce. The sides are all really good too. I would suggest getting a bunch of sides, as that’s traditional in Korean cuisine, plus you get a bite of various dishes. Can’t wait to come back.

Korean fried chicken was on point! Hands down the top 5 fried chicken in the lancaster area. Fries are good, too. But the other main dishes are only about average, the flavor was lacking. If you wanted some great korean fried chicken, I would definitely recommend Chi Maek for you!
